40th-80's B-Day Bash

My sister-in-law turned 40 and what better way to celebrate then to have an 80's theme party! We played some question answer games relating to the 80's,topics were television shows, movies, and of course songs.

I have satellite radio so I set the tuner for 80's on 8 and we rocked all night long! I had some vintage 80's albums so I set up a listening center with my Men at Work,Culture Club and more albums.

I had a make up and hair center set up for those who needed a little extra help.I had a movie clippings paper that I set up with famous one liners from the movies of that time.

We had a shooter bar, but I think that is from any era LOL! We set up a photo center and took individual shots of each person,some in twos.

In the background we had the cartoons of the time,Smurfette was there and PacMan and ALF,and of course the CareBears.

The party went on until after 2am. I stayed up till 3 cleaning.It was the BEST party ever! I wanted to invite couples but the birthday guest was wanting a low key type of party. We had about 15 people there. Oh and we had silly string that we got the b-day girl with!

All the husbands around here now want us to have a couples 80's party. I think we started something!

Here is a picture of everyone in front of our cartoon themed photo center(the big circle is just a tablecloth form the local dollar store!)One of our friends was pregnant in the 80's so she arrived that way,I thought it was hilarious!
