80s Hats80s hats will not be needed for most of your 80s costumes, as it may hide your awesome 80s Hair! So do not worry too much, or make the 80s hat much of a priority, when designing your 80s fashion outfit.
I'd be trying to get one of the plastic, cheap visors that were made in rich colours. In the 80s, mine were hot pink, lime green and black. The visors sat just under your fringe, and were very cool and popular. In hot places, they didn't do anything to keep your head cool, and became uncomfortable to wear. If however, by some freak of nature you can get your hands on one of these, please wear it! I can't even find a picture in Google, to show you, however, good 'ol Amazon sells them!
Other common 80s visors, were the material ones that the mum's would wear, or you would see at the tennis. 
All of the American Baseball teams were cool, and in Australia, the NY Yankees and LA Dodgers were very popular. Of course these logos on the caps have made a resurgence in the naughties, however, the styles and fit were way better in the 80s!
This is the hat I totally loved, the trilby hat. Now this hat has been in and out of fashion since the early gangster decades, and is in fashion again, right now. Currently, it's popularity was helped by Justin Timberlake, however, in the 80s, it was Michael Jackson, who influenced us to wear this style of hat.
